Adapter Number Configurations

When selecting an adapter fitting, remember a few basic rules of the number configurations:

The FIRST DIGIT represents the material used in the fitting: 9 for aluminum, 5 for stainless and 6 for steel.

The SECOND SEQUENCE OF 3 NUMBERS represents the shape of fitting you require: 816 is a straight, 822 is a 90 degree, etc.

Next, list the size of the AN end of the fitting.

And LAST, list the pipe end of the fitting, which is always based on the 16ths.

For Example: an aluminum (9) straight (816) -6 with 1/8p (pipe), the number sequence is 9 816 6 2 (981662)

And, a number 982266 would be an aluminum (9) 90 degree (822) -6 to 3/8p.

If the fitting is all pipe (no AN-0, the number changes to 01=1/8p, 02=1/4p, 03=3/8p, 04=1/2p, etc.

For Example: a number 991701 would be an aluminum (9) female tee (917) with 1/8p (01).
